Continuing Education Credit and Maintenance of Certification
The 2022 ACVP/ASVCP Annual Meeting and the ACVP and ASVCP pre-meeting workshops has been approved for 86.5 total hours of hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize RACE approval, with a maximum of 22.5 RACE credits available to any one Annual Meeting registrant, plus 3.25 credits for Trace Evidence Collection in Veterinary Forensic Pathology, 3.75 for A Taste of Toxicologic Pathology, 8 credits for Placental, Fetal and Infant Primate Pathology, or 6.25 credits for Emerging Concepts in Veterinary Laboratory Quality. RACE credit for Getting into the Hard Stuff: Tumors of Bone, Cartilage, and Dental Tissues will be submitted and reported by the Davis-Thompson Foundation. This workshop has been approved for 6.5 credits.
All registrants wishing to receive a CE certificate after attending the Annual Meeting, must indicate their interest when registering for the meeting. U.S. and Canadian attendees wishing to apply for RACE credit for any educational activity must provide state of licensure, license number, and profession (veterinarian or veterinary technician) at the time of registration. Emails certifying CE, RACE and MOC credits will be sent within a month following the Annual Meeting to all meeting participants requesting credit.
Additionally, ACVP Diplomates may claim 2 Maintenance of Certification credits for each half day of attendance at the Annual Meeting or any pre-meeting workshops. via the MOC portal. MOC credit for the 2022 Annual Meeting must be reported by 9/30/2023.
